Announcements for the week (March 28-Apr 3)

The Relief Society has been asked to sing in Sacrament on April 11th. The song is "That Easter Morn" #198. For those that have not been able to practice with us, we are still hoping you will come up and sing. Please click on the song above to listen to it and familiarize yourself with it. We will be singing the first verse by just humming "oooohhh oooh". Yes, can't you tell I'm so musically inclined and actually trying to sound like I know what I'm talking about.

The new Relief Society Activities schedule was passed out on Sunday. We will have them in the binders for a few more weeks. Please get a copy for yourself and others that might not get one.
We will be posting the new activities soon on the blog.

General Conference is this Easter weekend. The conference is televised on the BYU channel or broadcast at the Rock. Blvd. chapel. Happy Easter!

Announcements for the week

Thank you to all of those who attended our Relief Society birthday dinner! The panel told of such wonderful stories and memories. Thank you! And the display table turned out great.

Relief Society sisters temple trip is this week, Wednesday at 10:00am. Please call Sister Petty if you would like to go and she will call your name into the session. Also is there anyone interested in watching others kids so they can attend the temple?

Playgroup is this week on Thursday, March 25th 10:30am at Sister Barnes home. Please bring your kids and a music instrument for them. Homemade would be best! You can make a guitar with a shoe box and rubberbands, a kazoo with an empty toilet paper roll and wax paper tied on the end with a rubber band. We have extra instruments if you don't have one or don't make one. Please just come!

Announcements for the week

“Relief Society – A Living History”Come Celebrate the Relief Society Birthday!
We will be having a dinner on Thursday night at 6:30pm
We have been asked to bring something that says what Relief Society means to you: something you've made in Relief Society, or something you've learned from being in Relief Society. This will be displayed on a table

If you are interested in a family history class during the Sunday school hour please let someone in the presidency know. This class would teach you how to use the new family search website.

Today was ward conference. We were visited by the stake presidencies and heard from Bishop and the Stake President in sacrament meeting. Our RS president and a sister in the stake RS presidency taught us in Relief Society. The theme for the day was 2 Nephi 31:20

20 Wherefore, ye must press forward with a asteadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of bhope, and a clove of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and dendure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eeternal life.

Bishop reminded us not to just "snack" on the words of Christ, but to feast! In Relief Society sister Wills talked about each "action phrase" in the scripture and what it meant to us: "Press forward", "Steadfastness", "perfect brightness of hope", "love of God and of all men" and "endure to the end".

It was a wonderful day and we missed those that were not able to attend.
